Good House Hunting: Matt Damon Lists with Real Estate Power Duo

Angie Shipe May 10, 2013 0

Real estate professionals who sell luxury homes have all the fun. Their properties come with beautifully landscaped grounds, gorgeous views and amenities such as indoor swimming pools, gold-plated fixtures and cathedral ceilings.

And if you’re the most successful high-end real estate team in the Miami, Florida market, you even get to work with Hollywood heartthrobs.

Actor Matt Damon’s 12,705-square-foot Miami Beach home is on the market. Built in 1935, the home is available for $20 million and is ideal for entertaining. Damon purchased the house in 2005 in a neighborhood known for rich and famous residents such as Jennifer Lopez, Calvin Klein, and Ricky Martin.13-01-31_Real-estate-article-12.31-01.04.12

The mansion’s features include:

  • 7 bedrooms
  • 9 full bathrooms, 1 half bathroom
  • a theater
  • a wine cellar
  • a private terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay
  • a pool house with full kitchen and roof terrace
  • a two-bedroom guesthouse
  • 170 feet of water frontage
  • views of downtown Miami

Coldwell Banker’s star luxury real estate team, known as “The Jills,” is representing Damon in the sale. Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg have established quite a reputation for offering stellar residential properties in exclusive communities. They’ve sold multimillion dollar houses and condominiums in Fisher Island, Bal Harbour, Gables Estates, Golden Beach, Tahiti Beach and the Miami Beach Islands (North Bay Road, Venetian Islands, Sunset Islands and La Gorce Island).

The Jills have three times been honored by Coldwell Banker with its Member of the Legends Society award, a distinction reserved for the top half-percent of all Coldwell Banker sales associates. They have set a benchmark for the highest sales of any agent team in Coldwell Banker’s 106-year history, closing 138 transactions worth over $474.7 million during 2012. The power duo has sold more than $1.7 billion worth of property since 2005.

Their ability to match unique clients with unique properties keeps them ranked among the top realtors in Florida. Last year, the pair sold 3 Indian Creek for $47 million. It was the most expensive single-family home sale in Miami-Dade County history. Another property currently listed is Casa Casuarina, formerly the Versace Mansion, which is listed for $100 million.

In a video from the Jills’ website, Erber attributes their success to providing the highest level of service to their clients with enthusiasm and an eagerness to make people happy:

“It’s the power of two,” Erber said. “It’s two strong women who have come together with so much knowledge, so much caring and passion for what we do. We really care about the people we work with. And we want them to come away saying it’s the best real estate experience they’ve ever had.”

The ladies feel strongly that Miami is a beautiful place to live, and their knowledge of the area is what gives them an edge.

“We know Miami, every square inch of it,” Hertzberg said. “We were born here, we were raised here, we lived here our whole lives. And on top of that, it’s our business.”

“We were never the women who said ‘let’s just work this building, or let’s just work this neighborhood, or let’s just work condos, or let’s just work homes. Our idea was, ‘let’s do it all in Miami’.”
