The NFPA 70E part of the package covers standards for electrical safety in the workplace. - Understand the concept of Equipotential Plane and its relevance to agricultural buildings.
- Define the revised term, Section Sign, and demonstrate an ability to review the application of retrofit kits requirements.
- Define the term, Abandoned Supply Circuits and Interconnecting Cables and discuss the relevance to a new install.
- Apply the new requirements of 680.12 when servicing a pool, spa, hot tub, or fountain.
- Apply the new requirement of equipotential bonding, during a pool installation.
- Apply new GFCI protection requirements to pool pump motors.
- Name the additional equipment used for photovoltaic power systems that are required to be identified and listed.
- State the importance for connectors, lugs, or terminals that are intended for fine-stranded cables to be marked for their intended application.
- Discuss the importance of critical operations power systems with regards to the separation of ground-fault protection.
- Discuss when the NEC would allow the practice of lacing with Bare Class 2 Conductors.
- Define the term, Communication Circuit. State why the NEC has added requirements on intersystem bonding.
