- Trainees will be able to describe various overcurrent protection schemes used on transformers, including coordination with downstream protection devices and application of high voltage fuses.
- Trainees will be able to describe the application of differential protection to transformers.
- Trainees will be able to describe the various factors that need to be taken into consideration in the application of protection schemes to transformers.
- Trainees will be able to describe the application of differential protection to multiwinding transformers.
- Trainees will be able to explain why multiple restraint coils are needed for protection schemes used on multiwinding transformers.
- Trainees will be able to describe various types of ground fault protection schemes that are applied to transformers, including grounding transformers.
- Trainees will be able to describe overall protection schemes used for various transformer installations, both large and small.
- Trainees will be able to describe typical reactor and capacitor protection.
