For over 15 years, 360Training has helped over 4 million students learn new skills, begin careers, and meet regulatory requirements in their respective field. None of this would be possible without one of our most important groups: subject matter experts (SMEs). SMEs provide the knowledge and course direction that make our courses easy to understand and engaging. Get to know them with our new interview series: Behind the Course – Subject Matter Experts.

What is it about working with 360Training.com that you enjoy?
“Being in the consulting work this long, I have seen how important it is to get companies off on the right foot. Address the safety stuff early on in the game, both for startups and growing companies, is a lot easier than retroactively reacting to problems” says Matt. “As a subject matter expert, I am able to help shape the students taking these courses that will be the driving force behind environmental initiatives” he continues “I’d much rather help shape policy at a company than be out there doing remediation while the company is facing stiff fines or lost work”.
What do you consider your greatest talent?
“I love organizing and developing solutions, you know, fixing things” says Matt. “I am really open to any opportunity and I love the challenge of new projects. I have learned to work in a way that doesn’t confuse people, but gives them the information they need. One time I got the chance to work as a contractor with the EPA at a Superfund site as part of their Superfund Technical Assessment Response Team. Working at both long-term and short-term projects, I have learned to prioritize and meet all sorts of critical deadlines.”
Matt Bulger is currently located in the Denver, Colorado area. He is available for consulting and remote work all over the United States. To see the services he offers, you can visit his website: http://www.totalcompliancesolutions.net/. To take the 40-hour HAZWOPER course, click here.
