MSHA Proposes Changes to Final Rule on Workplace Examinations in Metal and Nonmetal Mines

September 12th – MSHA on Tuesday announced they are proposing changes to the final rule on workplace examinations in Metal and Nonmetal Mines. This would be in an effort to increase the safety initiatives at the sites before work is begins, and provide mine operators flexibility in managing their safety and health programs.

Natural Grocers Issues Recall on Organic Deglet Dates Due to Mislabeling and Undeclared Allergens

September 13th – Vitamin Cottage Natural Foods Market is recalling their store brand dates due to it may contain undeclared coconut, an allergen. Those with sensitivity to coconut need to check their pantry and make sure they do not have any Natural Grocer brand Organic Deglet Noor Pitted Dates.

OSHA Trade Release – New Alliance for Grain Handling

September 13th – OSHA today formed an alliance with the National Grain and Feed Association in order to work toward better protecting the safety and health of workers in the grain handling industry.

Governor Bullock Meets with FEMA Administrator, Urges Additional Assistance to Fight Montana Fires
