About this Package

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) requires a total of 18 hours of continuing education hours to be completed during your 3-year renewal. Content and timing matter. They require:

  • A 2-hour legal course during the first year
  • A 2-hour legal course during the second year
  • A 2-hour legal course during the third year
  • 12 hours' worth of electives taken any time before your expiration

For the purpose of Michigan renewal, the "year" runs from November 1st to October 31st. Required courses on the law need to be spaced out according to that schedule, not the calendar year.

We offer three Michigan CE Renewal Packages designed to spread all of your credits out over the renewal period. You'll take 6 hours a year. No fuss, no confusion – just buy one CE package each year in November and finish it by the following Halloween. Wash, rinse, repeat, with a different package every year.

The coursework is 100% online for your convenience, and it's mobile-friendly so you can study on the go.

With this package, you'll satisfy your yearly 2-hour legal requirement with a review of important Michigan laws, rules, and court cases relevant to real estate practice. You'll also fulfill 4 hours of elective credit by delving into different types of liens, related taxes, and the process of foreclosure.

After you wrap up each course, we'll supply a certificate of completion. Michigan regulations require you to keep these documents on file for 4 years and make them available to LARA in the event of an audit.

FAQs

How do I know you're a LARA-approved course provider?

You can find us on Michigan's CE Marketplace under Distance Learning, course codes C017819 through C017840.

What is the deadline for completing my continuing education courses?

Two hours of coursework on legal topics are due each year by October 31st. Your elective credits can be completed at any time before your license expires.

How do I turn in my CE hours?

Michigan no longer keeps records of your CE. Instead, you're responsible for keeping proof of completion on file for 4 years. They conduct random audits – if you're chosen, you'll need to hand over your certificates of completion.

What else do I need to do to renew my license?

You should expect a renewal reminder from LARA roughly 90 days before your expiration. If you miss your expiration date, you won't be able to legally conduct licensed real estate activities.

All renewals and fees must now be submitted online. LARA won't accept or process anything received by mail or in person.

When do my courses expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
    • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
    • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
    • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.

You can find more information about our refund policy here.
