Arizona Real Estate Continuing Education Courses

It’s a program of approved courses you must complete to renew your Arizona real estate license. The training covers required topics like agency law, contract law, disclosure, fair housing, legal issues, and newer required areas like Firewise, Arizona Water, and Deed Fraud.

Any licensed real estate professional in Arizona who wishes to renew their license must complete the required continuing education (CE) within each two-year renewal cycle. This includes: 

• Real estate salespersons (agents) 
• Associate brokers 
• Delegated associate brokers 
• Designated brokers 

The specific CE courses you need will depend on: 

• Your license type (e.g., salesperson vs. broker) 
• Your renewal cycle 
• The current requirements set by the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE)

Yes. Arizona allows online/distance education for all required CE topics, so long as the provider and the specific courses are approved by the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE), like our courses.

Yes. Under Arizona law (ADRE / Arizona Administrative Code Title 4, Chapter 28), completion of the required continuing education is mandatory every 2 years in order to renew a real estate license. All active licensees must complete a minimum of 24 hours of approved CE coursework during each renewal cycle. Failure to meet CE requirements will prevent renewal.

In Arizona, a real estate license must be renewed every 2 years. The requirements include completing 24 credit hours of continuing education within that 2‑year period (for salespersons) before the renewal will be processed.

If you miss your CE deadline or allow your license to expire, you have up to one year to renew your license after its expiration date. 

• During this grace period, you may be subject to: 
• Late fees 

Additional CE requirements depending on how long the license has lapsed 

If more than one year has passed, your license may be terminated. At that point, you would be required to reapply for licensure, which may involve: 

• Retaking pre-licensing education 
• Passing the licensing exam again 
• Submitting a new application and fees

To report your CE credits to ADRE: 

1. Log into your ADRE Licensee Account via the Licensee Login portal


2. Enter the following course information: 

• Course number 
• Start and end dates 
• Certificate details 

Note: ADRE does not receive CE completion certificates directly from course providers like 360training. It is the licensee's responsibility to upload the certificate and ensure all course information is accurately entered into their ADRE profile.

ADRE requires you to spend at least as much time in each course as the approved credit hours.  ADRE also says can’t spend more than 9 hours per day doing coursework.

This means the 24-hour agent package requires at least 3 days to complete.  The 30-hour course requires at least 4 days.

ADRE requires that renewal applicants:

• Review all personal and contact information to ensure all data is accurate and up to date.
• Answer all questions on the Disciplinary Actions Disclosure (LI-214/LI-244) and provide additional documents where the answer to any question is 'yes'.
• Sign the renewal application if using a paper form.
• Confirmation of broker sponsorship (renewed or hired).
• Include additional forms and fees where required if applying for changes to the license.
• Submit proof of legal presence if applying online.
• Submit the required hours of approved CE courses. Licensees are encouraged to submit CE credit when the course is completed instead of waiting until the end of the license cycle.

All requirements must be completed within 24 months of your last license issue date.
