2022 Workplace Safety Scholarship Program Winner
We are pleased to announce the winner of our first annual 360training Workplace Safety Scholarship, congratulations to Ajada Talton!
360training's 2022 Workplace Safety Scholarship Program provides one exemplary student per semester with $1,000 to use for their tuition. This program provides funds to qualified high school students in their pursuit of an undergraduate degree.
Ajada has won $1,000 to use towards her tuition for her undergraduate degree in Nursing. She is from Hampton, Virginia, and is majoring in Nursing at Hampton University this Fall. Ajada was selected from a vast and impressive pool of applicants that submitted outstanding responses, answering our essay prompt about a newsworthy event where a workplace failed to adhere to OSHA safety standards.
In Ajada’s response, she told the impactful story of a candle factory in the small town of Mayfield in Kentucky that was completely leveled by a tornado, resulting in 8 employees losing their lives because of the company’s failure to comply with OSHA standards. Not only was Ajada able to tell this in a compelling way, but her response also offered progressive solutions to prevent a situation like this one from happening again.
Ajada added "Special thanks to the 360training team for selecting me as a recipient of the Workplace Safety Scholarship Program! My name is Ajada, and I will continue at Hampton University this fall, majoring in Nursing. I enjoy school, reading, watching Netflix, and aesthetics! After earning my BSN, I hope to pursue a career in Medical Cosmetics/Aesthetics, and this scholarship will help go toward my tuition this semester!"
Thank you to everyone who applied and congratulations Ajada!
