Heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) help power plants run efficiently and increase production. Often used in combined cycle technology, HRSGs use waste steam that’s usually lost to generate additional electricity. HRSGs link gas turbines and steam turbines.
Combined cycle technology is a dual phase system in which two combustion turbine generators produce electricity in conjunction with two heat recovery steam generators that harness hot exhaust to spin another turbine generator, producing more electricity.
