About This Package

Before you can apply for your real estate license in Texas, you have to take 180 hours of pre-license education. Our online and convenient pre-licensing packages are approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).

As an TREC-approved online training provider, we created this Premium Package to start your new career on the right foot. It includes your required pre-license coursework, a full exam prep course to help you pass your state exam, and online proctoring to monitor your final exams.

First, Pass Your Pre-License Training

To meet your pre-license hours, you need to pass 6 required courses. Each course then has a proctored final exam. TREC requires you to be monitored during your test to ensure you're not cheating.

Our Premium Package offers an exclusive TREC-approved Recorded Proctoring Service. It's 100% online and on-demand, enabling you to take your pre-licensing tests anytime, anywhere. You just need a computer with a camera, microphone, and internet connection.

Otherwise, you'll need to arrange to take 6 final exams as an in-person test in front of an eligible proctor.

You'll get an official certificate of completion right away for each course. You'll need to attach a copy of all 6 certificates to your license application.

Then, Prepare for Your State License Exam

You can retake the Texas licensing exam if you fail, but you'll have to pay an exam fee for each attempt. If you fail 3 times, TREC requires you to complete more coursework before you can test again.

In other words, you want to get it right the first time.

Our exam prep and math practice courses will help you walk into your license exam ready for the challenge. In addition to a condensed study guide to help you focus on the most important concepts for the exam, you'll also get practice tests generated from a databank of thousands of possible exam questions, in the same format as the state exam. These will help you determine whether you're prepared to tackle the state exam.

FAQs

How do I know you're a TREC-approved course provider?

360training's approved TREC Provider Number is 4591.

How fast can I get through the pre-licensing course?

TREC requires that you spend at least as long in each course as the number of hours it's worth, but you also can’t spend more than 12 hours a day working through the courses.

TREC will look at the date stamps on each course to determine if you've followed these rules. They won't accept credits for any 30-hour course you start and finish in less than 3 days. You also can't start and complete multiple courses within the same 3 days.

What is the format of these courses?

Texas pre-licensing courses come in the form of instructional PDFs with quizzes.

Who is eligible to apply for a Texas real estate license?

Texas requires applicants to be a U.S. citizen, or lawfully admitted alien. You also have to be 18 or older.

You also need to meet TREC's qualifications for honesty, trustworthiness, and integrity. If you have any concerns on your criminal, civil, or professional record, you should ask for a Fitness Determination with TREC before you go through the expense of taking courses or filing a licensing application.

How do I earn my Texas real estate license?

To apply your Texas real estate license, you need to:

  1. Complete the mandatory courses with a TREC-approved provider like us
  2. Submit your "inactive" licensing application with TREC, online or by mail.
  3. Get fingerprinted by the Texas DPS and pass your background check.
  4. Pass the official state licensing exam.
  5. Choose a sponsoring broker to upgrade your license to an "active" one.

Most steps require a fee. You can find them on TREC's website.

You need to finish all steps within a year of your application start date.

When do my courses expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
    • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
    • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
    • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.
