South Carolina Unit I: Real Estate Principles (60 hours)

South Carolina Unit II: Advanced Real Estate Principles (30 hours)

This course aims to help licensees become more proficient in the practice of real estate and reinforce important topics.

• Focuses on licensing laws, property measurements, fair housing compliance, and market evaluation

What happens if I fail my course final?

You need a grade of 70% or higher to pass. If you fail, you have 2 extra chances to schedule with a proctor and retake the exam.

Who is eligible to apply for a South Carolina real estate license?

To be eligible for a South Carolina real estate license, you must meet the following requirements:
 
Basic Requirements:
•    Age – You must be at least 18 years old to apply for a real estate salesperson license and 21 years old for a broker license.
•    Education – You must have a high school diploma or GED.
 
Pre-Licensing Education:
•    Salesperson License: Complete 90 hours of real estate education (60-hour Pre-Licensing Course + 30-hour Advanced Real Estate Principles Course).
•    Broker License: Complete 150 hours of real estate education, including broker-specific courses.
 
Examination & Background Check:
•    Pass the South Carolina real estate exam (national and state portions).
•    Submit to a criminal background check (fingerprints required).
 
Additional Requirements:

• •    Apply through the South Carolina Real Estate Commission (SCREC).
• •    Work under a licensed broker-in-charge (for salespersons).

What Can I Do if I Lose My Certificates of Completion?

After successfully completing the course and passing the necessary exams, you can print your certificate of completion immediately. If you misplace your certificate, simply log into your training account, navigate to the "My Courses" section on your dashboard, and click the Print or View Certificate link under Completed Courses. You can then download or print a new copy for your records or to share with your employer.
