About This Package
To apply for your real estate license in Alabama, you need to take 60 hours of pre-license education approved by the Alabama Real Estate Commission (AREC) and pass your state licensing exam. The 60-hour Alabama Pre-license Fundamentals course provides the instruction in basic principles of real estate required of all those seeking a salesperson license in Alabama.
As an AREC-approved online training provider, we designed this Premium Package to set you up for success in your new career. It includes your mandatory pre-license course, a full exam prep course to help you study and evaluate your knowledge, and a free real estate math course to help you practice for the math portion of your licensing exam. As a bonus, you'll also get a free class in client communications.
First, Pass Your Pre-License Training
AREC's required pre-license course includes 60 hours of instruction time in:
- Listing Property
- Selling Property
- Property Management
- Settlement / Transfer of Ownership
- Financing
- Professional Responsibilities / Fair Practice / Administration
Once you complete the required course hours, you’ll set up a time for your proctored final exam. AREC requires pre-license course finals to be "proctored" – supervised by a third party to guarantee you're not cheating.
You need a score of 70% or higher to pass the final exam. After we receive your passing grade and paperwork, you'll get a certificate of completion for your records. We'll also report your credits to AREC within 3 days.
Then, Prepare for Your State License Exam
AREC gives you 6 months to pass your state licensing exam after you successfully finish your pre-license course.
By using our exam prep and math practice courses, you can walk into your license exam knowing you're prepared. You'll get a condensed study guide to help you focus on the most important concepts for the exam.
You'll also have access to practice questions based on the real exam's national and state-specific topics. You can check your answers and determine your progress, so you'll know when you're ready to tackle the state exam.

FAQs
How do I know you're an AREC-approved course provider?
You can look us up on AREC's website. Our Provider ID is 000097091-0.
What happens if I fail my course final?
You need a grade of 70% or higher to pass. If you fail, you have 2 extra chances to schedule with a proctor and retake the exam.
How fast can I get through the pre-licensing course?
AREC's rules say you can't get credit for more than 6 hours per day when taking a salesperson pre-license course. Therefore, your first attempt at the final exam must be at least 11 days after starting the course.
Who is eligible to apply for an Alabama real estate license?
To qualify for a real estate license in Alabama, you must:
- be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or lawfully admitted alien
- be 19 or older
- have a high school diploma (or equivalent)
- have no convictions on your record for felonies or crimes of moral turpitude
- have no license rejections or revocations by any real estate licensing board in the last 2 years
If you have eligibility concerns because of your criminal or professional record, you should apply for a Determination of License Eligibility with AREC before you do anything else.
How do I apply after I pass my state licensing exam?
First, you need an active Alabama broker to sponsor your application. You should start looking into brokers before you take the licensing exam. You shouldn't leave this to the last minute, because your application is due 90 days after your test.
After you submit your application, you need to go to AREC's approved background check vendor to get fingerprinted. AREC recommends you wait until the day you submit your application because there are limits on how long a background check is available to them.
If your application is approved, you'll be issued a temporary license. To earn your permanent license, you have to take a post-licensing course. In the meantime, you'll be able to work.
When do my courses expire?
Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.
For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use.
What if I need a refund for my training course?
If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:
- Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
- You have NOT:
- Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
- Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
- Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.
If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.
You can find more information about our refund policy here.
