About this Course
Marijuana training promotes responsible handling and consumption practices, reducing the risk of accidents, misuse, or unlawful marijuana sales. This course meets Alaska’s AMCO requirement by covering necessary topics including the laws regarding marijuana possession and use in Alaska, the different types of marijuana products available in the state, and the effects of using marijuana.
Our comprehensive and up-to-date course will teach you how to identify when someone is impaired by marijuana and what to do if they break the law. You will also learn ways to recognize when someone is at risk of being impaired by marijuana, and how to prevent the sale of marijuana to intoxicated individuals or underage customers.
Who should take this course?
All individuals working in or adjacent to a licensed cannabis establishment should complete this training. This includes owners, cultivators, processors, technicians, budtenders, transporters, delivery personnel, customer service, receptionists, cashiers, and security. In addition, any contractors who gain entry to perform work such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, sanitation, etc. should complete this training.
Upon completing this course, you will know how to check identification properly and intervene and prevent the unlawful use of marijuana and marijuana products. Finally, it provides information on the penalties, fines, and possible jail time for not following marijuana laws and regulations.

- Understand the role played by licensed marijuana cultivation, product manufacturing, and testing facilities and the restrictions placed on them according to Alaska law.
