About This Package
For your second and subsequent renewal as a salesperson or broker, the California Department of Real Estate (DRE) requires 45 hours of continuing education every 4 years. Your CE must include:
- 20 hours of courses that cover seven required topics:
- California Agency
- Code of Ethics
- Trust Funds
- Fair Housing
- Risk Management
- Brokerage Administration and Management
- Implicit Bias Training
- At least 18 hours devoted to Consumer Protection topics
- The remaining 7 hours devoted to either Consumer Protection or Consumer Service
You'll get a certificate of completion once you've passed each course final. These certificates contain information you'll need when it's time to fill out your renewal application.
Note: This package is for second and subsequent renewals. If this is your FIRST renewal, either as a salesperson or as a broker, you need the appropriate first-renewal package to meet your requirements.
How do I know you're a California DRE-approved course provider?
AgentCampus by 360training's DRE Sponsor#6242
How quickly can I get through my Continuing Education courses?
The DRE sets a couple rules:
- You need to study for at least as many hours in a course as the credit-hours the course is worth.
- You can't take more than 15 credit-hours' worth of final exams within a 24-hour period.
Please note, YOU are responsible for monitoring your compliance, so if you take multiple exams on the same day, pay attention to the total credit hours.
What is the deadline for completing my continuing education courses?
CE is due every 4 years before your license expiration. It's important to submit your renewal on time, because you're not allowed to conduct licensed activities after your expiration date passes.
When do my courses expire?
Your courses will expire sixty (60) days after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course or LMS indicates otherwise.
For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use.
