About this Course
If alcohol delivery is part of your job or offered by your business, this TIPS Off-Premise & Alcohol Delivery Training course is designed for you.
This program is appropriate for people who work in one of the following:
1. Liquor store
2. Grocery store
3. Bar or restaurant that offers delivery or takeout services
4. Convenience, gas station, or other specialty retail store
5. Delivery or online ordering service that provides alcohol or "to go" cocktail delivery.
Even when alcohol is sold "to go" or for delivery, employees may encounter alcohol-related problems. Sellers or delivery personnel must be especially careful to avoid selling or delivering alcohol to underage or intoxicated customers since they usually have little time to assess the situation when making the sale or delivery.
TIPS Off-Premise & Alcohol Delivery Training consists of three main areas of focus: Information, Skills Training, and Practice/Rehearsal. In addition to fulfilling state regulatory requirements, TIPS training covers mitigation strategies that result in increased professionalism and improved customer service among staff.
This course teaches you to recognize when a customer is intoxicated or underage. In addition to preventing the illegal sale or delivery of alcohol, you learn how to handle intoxicated customers while also ensuring courteous and safe service. The intervention techniques reflect the short time a seller or delivery person has to interact with a customer.
TIPS Off-Premise & Alcohol Delivery Training can also help an establishment protect itself from possible litigation and often results in reduced liability insurance premiums.
Once you complete the lessons, quizzes and pass the final exam (required passing score varies by course and jurisdiction), you'll get an official TIPS Certificate that you can print right away!
TIPS is a 360training company.
