About this Course
What is Hazards of Asbestos in the Workplace Training?
This course introduces you to the hazards of asbestos exposure, the potential health effects, and the safety measures for minimizing your personal exposure and the exposure of those around you.
You'll learn how to recognize asbestos, select appropriate protective equipment, and dispose of asbestos-containing material (ACM) appropriately. We'll discuss control measures for low-risk, moderate-risk, and high-risk activities.
Although asbestos is now banned in new construction, many old buildings still have asbestos elements. As a construction industry professional, that puts your health at risk because there is no safe level of exposure for asbestos.
Who Should Take Hazards of Asbestos in the Workplace?
If you work in construction, repair, demolition, or renovation, you're at an increased risk for asbestos exposure and you need this course.
