• Use the current Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG);
• Describe pertinent regulations and standards that apply to the Hazmat
• Technician, including Emergency Response Planning;
• Explain toxicology exposures and effects, exposure standards, and physical
• and chemical properties;
• Implement site control, incident safety, and risk assessment techniques;
• Discuss advance hazmat mitigation techniques; and
• Indicate appropriate hazmat decontamination.

Additionally, in this version, students will:

• View a complete animated video series depicting an entire hazmat incident; and
• Participate in an Online Interactive Tabletop Exercise®.
