Heat and cold stress are two distinct but related occupational health hazards that can affect individuals working in various environments, including agricultural settings. Heat stress occurs when the body is unable to regulate its internal temperature effectively in response to excessive heat exposure while cold stress occurs when the body loses heat faster than it can produce it, leading to a drop in body temperature.
