About
Lead, a highly toxic substance, can lead to severe health issues such as brain, kidney, and reproductive system damage, even at low exposure levels. Construction workers are particularly at risk of lead exposure due to their work environment, and there's a high likelihood of them inadvertently carrying lead particles home on their bodies, clothing, and shoes. Employers have an obligation to provide training for all employees who may be subjected to lead levels above the action threshold or who could experience skin or eye irritation from exposure to lead.
Beyond the federal OSHA regulation training, the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) requires extra training in accordance with federal OSHA requirements. Completing this training course ensures that you meet the requirements for workplace safety specific to your job. This course will address various aspects of lead exposure management including exposure routes, monitoring techniques, identification of lead hazards, implementation of safe work practices, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and more. Our course ensures that workers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves and others from lead-related health risks.
