About this Course
This course fulfills Michigan's requirement for 2 hours of Law CE every "year" (November 1 – October 31) with an exploration of Fair Housing Law in Michigan.
We'll examine both federal and state laws and discuss how both apply to Michigan Fair Housing. You'll learn about illegal forms of discrimination in the state, including those against the protected classes of religion, handicap, gender, national origin, color, race, or familial status.
We'll discuss how this directly affects real estate transactions and your professional practice.
This course covers the Civil Rights Act of 1866, the Civil Rights Act of 1968, the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act (1977), and the Michigan Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act.
