About This Course
This Miners' Rights & Responsibilities course will educate you on the rights and responsibilities that the Mine Act gives you as a mine worker. Anyone regularly exposed to mine hazards is subject to these rights and responsibilities and knowing them makes you better able to decrease workplace accidents, injuries, and fatalities.
First, you’ll learn all the rights furnished to mine workers by the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards, including your right to hazard reporting, work refusal, safety training, emergency preparedness, and more. We’ll teach you the procedures you should follow to restore these rights if they’re being violated. Finally, you’ll learn about your mine safety responsibilities as a worker and the responsibilities your supervisors have to your health and safety.
Mining Rights & Responsibilities is an important course for all mine operators, supervisors, safety personnel, and other mine workers. If you work at a mine site, you have a responsibility to ensure that MSHA standards are being observed at all times. This course will familiarize you with the rights that you can exercise on-site, how to protect them, and what your responsibilities are to the safety of fellow mine workers.
This course is offered in partnership with Compliance Training Online™, a 360training™ company.

Our Miners’ Rights & Responsibilities course teaches mining employees the rights they have under MSHA standards, like representation, work refusal, and hazard reporting, in the pursuit of protecting their safety and health on the job. It also covers their responsibilities towards upholding the safety of others.
