About this Course
Study the rules and laws governing real estate licensing and licensee conduct in Montana.
We'll start with an overview of the role, structure, responsibilities, and duties of the Montana Board of Realty Regulation (BRR). Then we'll discuss state laws that regulate agency relationships, the duties you owe to a client, the obligations of dual agents, disclosure requirements, and more.
You'll learn about the practices that are considered unprofessional conduct under the Administrative Rules of Montana, as well as the BRR's disciplinary guidelines.
Next, we'll dive into fiduciary obligations and financial matters. You'll learn about legal requirements for trust accounts, Real Estate Recovery Accounts, and Montana foreclosure suits. You'll analyze the statute of fraud provisions in the state.
We'll end with a look at property manager licensure and the relevant rules and legislation, including the Residential Landlord Tenant Act and the Montana Unit Ownership Act.
