About This Course
Mining remains one of the most hazardous industries, and even experienced miners must stay alert to changing risks and regulations. This MSHA Part 48 Subpart B 8-Hour Surface Mining Refresher course helps miners renew their annual training requirements under 30 CFR 48.28 and the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act (Mine Act).
This online training reinforces critical safety concepts, including health and safety factors, prevalent hazards, emergency procedures, and miner responsibilities at both surface mines and surface areas of underground mines.
By completing this refresher, miners strengthen their awareness of common workplace dangers and maintain the knowledge needed to protect themselves and their crews. Upon completion, learners receive an instant, printable certificate of completion. To remain compliant, mine operators must include this course in their MSHA-approved training plan and record completion on the MSHA Form 5000-23, as required by 30 CFR §48.23 and §48.28.
This course is offered in partnership with Compliance Training Online™, a division of 360training™ company.
