About This Course
This Surface Mining Confined Spaces course will help you understand the special safety concerns associated with entering a confined space and how to protect yourself.
You’ll learn the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA)’s confined space safety regulations and training requirements. First, we’ll help you understand what counts as a confined space, then we’ll explain all the dangers that a confined space can present, including atmospheric hazards, engulfment hazards, temperature hazards, and many more. You’ll learn about pre-entry preparation, engineering controls, emergency response plans, ventilation, and many other best practices for avoiding confined space hazards.
Even in a surface mine, there are many confined spaces that present a threat, so this Surface Mining Confined Space course contains key information for all mine operators, supervisors, safety personnel, and other mine workers. If you work at a mine site, you have a responsibility to ensure that MSHA standards are being observed at all times. This course will familiarize you with the confined space regulations you’ll need to follow.
This course is offered in partnership with Compliance Training Online™, a 360training™ company.
