About This Course
Underground mining environments expose workers to a wide range of hazards that can threaten health, safety, and operations. This MSHA Underground Mining Hazards (Part 48) online course provides essential training on hazard recognition, avoidance, and control to help miners prevent accidents and learn MSHA standards. This course is designed for underground mine operators, supervisors, safety personnel, and all individuals working at mine sites. Every worker shares responsibility for maintaining a safe environment and adhering to federal training requirements under 30 CFR Part 48, including §48.11, §48.23, §48.28, and §48.31.
Upon completion, learners will receive an instant, printable certificate of completion. To remain MSHA compliant, your company must have an MSHA-approved training plan and document all training on the official MSHA Form 5000-23, as required by 30 CFR §48.23.
