NERC Certification Exam Training Program

About This Course

This course consists of three modules:

• Module 1: Power Generation, Transmission, and Interchange
• Module 2: System Protection and Control
• Module 3: System Operations and PSR

This course does not replace the need for a good foundation of basic electricity, as well as familiarization with system operations and NERC Standards. NERC recommends that the content outlines for the specific NERC certification exams be used in conjunction with the following study references:

• NERC Reliability Standards effective 10/1/2011 for System Operator Certification Exam, Particularly NERC Glossary of Terms, BAL, COM, EOP, INT, IRO, TOP, VAR, Located in NERC System Operator Certification Program Site
   
• Power System Operation, Particularly Chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12 , Third Edition, authors: Miller and Malinowski. Available from commercial book sellers

Additionally, 360Training recommends that you review the NERC Standards applicable to your NERC certification category (RC, BAI, TO).

At the completion of each of the first three modules there will be a quiz. The goal is to help you prepare to take one of the four types of NERC certification exams.
