Course Objectives

The OSHA Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is intended to provide an entry-level construction worker's general awareness on recognizing and preventing hazards on a construction site. OSHA recommends Outreach Training Program courses as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Workers must receive additional training, when required by OSHA standards, on the specific hazards of the job. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an OSHA Construction Outreach DOL course completion card within 2 weeks after completion.

Given OSHA historical events and current information, the student will be able to explain the importance of OSHA in providing a safe and healthful workplace to workers covered by OSHA.
Locate OSHA Standards references applicable to specific hazardous conditions and practices (Introduction to OSHA Standards)
Recognize the aspects of 1926 Subpart C (General Safety and Health Provisions)
Implement preventative measures for accidents in their workplace (Subpart D - Occupational health and Environmental Controls)

Only spend a maximum of 7 hours and 30 minutes on the course each day.
Complete a survey evaluating the course upon completion.
Pass all OSHA tests and the final exam with a score of at least 70% in three attempts or less.
Only access the OSHA Outreach training within U.S. Jurisdiction.

How Long Do I Have To Complete OSHA 10 Construction Training?

After enrolling with an online training provider, your course is valid for 12 months, so you can access it any time during this period. However, after the first time you launch the course, OSHA rules and training requirements state you must finish the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Course, including the survey, within 180 calendar days.

Additionally, if you fail all attempts at quizzes or the final exam, you will no longer be able to access the course.

Upon completion of the course, return to your "My Training" page and click the certificate icon. If you’ve completed the course requirements, you will be able to view and print your temporary certificate of completion.

What Can I Do If I Lose My OSHA 10 Construction DOL Card?
