About this Course
What is OSHA Focus Four Injury Prevention Training?
This course provides an overview of the top four causes of fatality in the construction industry: struck-by hazards, caught-between hazards, falls, and electrical hazards. You'll learn how to recognize, prepare for, and avoid these hazards on the job site.
We'll discuss the activities that most often cause struck by and caught in between injuries and the engineering controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment (PPE) that will reduce your chances of injury.
You'll learn the preventative measures for avoiding falls, including fall protection systems, fall protection plans, and other fall protection equipment.
We'll discuss how electricity works, its effects on human health, and help you identify electrical hazards on the job. You'll learn protective measures like grounding, lockout/tagout circuits, requirements for power tools, and more.
