About this Package

This package includes courses you need to complete your first license renewal in Texas. You'll get the most up-to-date versions of Legal Updates I and II, which are required for every renewing licensee. Please note that a sales agent who has been made a supervisor by their broker prior to their first renewal also needs to take the 6-hour Broker Responsibility Course to renew.

You'll also get 6 qualifying Sales Apprentice Education (SAE) courses. Choose any THREE of the 6 courses to meet your SAE requirements.

Upon completion of each course, you'll receive an official certificate of completion that you can submit to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) as proof of required training. You need to submit your course completion documents to TREC at least 10 days before you apply for license renewal or your application won't be accepted. It's not possible to defer SAE courses or renew your license the first time without them.

Add On-Demand Proctoring for Your Final Exams

TREC requires SAE courses final exams to be proctored. In other words, they have to be supervised by a third party to ensure you're not looking up the answers. Typically, this involves an in-person test in front of an eligible proctor, and you can take your exams this way if you prefer.

However, for an additional fee, we offer a 100% online and on-demand TREC-approved recorded proctoring service. This means you can take your SAE finals anywhere, as long as you have a camera, microphone, and internet connection.

Note/Disclaimer: The TREC Legal Update I and II courses are valid till December 31, 2021. All students must complete the course(s) on or before December 31, 2021 to receive credit.

FAQs

How do I know you're a TREC-approved course provider?

360training's approved TREC Provider Number is 4591.

Is Continuing Education the Same as SAE?

No.  License renewals happen every 2 years in Texas.

For your first license renewal, TREC requires 90 hours of "SAE" (Sales Apprentice Education). This is a very specific curriculum for new agents. You need an additional 8 hours of TREC Legal Update education.

For your second and subsequent renewals, they require 18 hours of continuing education, including the Legal Updates.

This package is for your first salesperson renewal. If this is NOT your first salesperson renewal, you need to take Continuing Education package instead.

How fast can I get through the courses?

You need to spend at least as much time in each course as the credit hours it's worth, but you can’t spend more than 12 hours per day in the coursework.

TREC bases their reinforcement of this rule on how many days you spend in each course and whether there is overlap between courses.  In other words, you can't start and complete a 30-hour qualifying course in less than 3 days. You also can't start and complete more than one qualifying course within the same 3 days.

TREC will not accept your certificate of completion for any one course unless 3 days have elapsed since the date/time you started it.

What is the format of these courses?

Texas SAE courses come in the form of instructional PDFs with quizzes.

What can I do if I lose my certificate?

If you lose your certificate of completion and need a new one, you can contact customer service at (877) 881-2235 or support@360training.com.

When does my course expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use.

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
  • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
  • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
  • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.
