About this Course
What is Process Safety Management Training?
This course provides a basic understanding of OSHA standards for process safety management (PSM) of Highly Hazardous Chemicals (HHC). In other words, you'll learn about the proactive planning needed to mitigate or prevent chemical releases from the failure of safety processes, procedures, or equipment.
We'll cover the role of employers and employees, as well as the requirements for contractors. You'll learn about the identification and evaluation of potential problems, as well as the importance of training, emergency planning, and mechanical integrity.
Who should take Process Safety Management?
If you work around HHC, you need this course!
Employers and managers can help reduce the financial and non-financial liability of improper safety measures by becoming educated on process safety management.
But even if you're not in charge, you need some training in PSM—safety measures don't work if the entire team doesn't understand them.
