About This Course
Before you can earn your Food Manager Certification, you must pass an exam. If you're already certified, remember that Texas requires you to renew your certification every five years.

Once you enroll, you can begin the test immediately. You must complete the exam within 90 minutes. You’ll need a minimum score of 71% to pass. If you pass, you can print your Food Manager Certification right away!
What If I Don't Complete the Exam in 90 Minutes?
Texas state regulations require that the Food Manager Certification Exam be completed within 90 minutes. If you do not finish within this timeframe, the exam will automatically close, and you will fail.
You will have one additional attempt to complete the exam successfully. If you do not pass on your second attempt, you will need to repurchase the exam to take it again.

Who Needs to Take the Texas Food Manager Exam?
Texas state code requires that each food service establishment have at least one person with supervisory or management responsibilities to hold food protection manager certification. The way you get that certification is to take and pass the Texas Food Manager Exam.
How Many Questions Is the Texas food Manager Certification Exam?
The Texas Food Manager Certification Exam consists of 75 multiple-choice questions, and you need to answer at least 53 questions correctly in the allotted 90 minutes to earn your certification.
How Hard is the Texas Food Manager Exam?
Passing the Texas Food Manager Exam certainly isn’t something you can accomplish without preparation.
You’ll need to take a food protection manager course like ours that is accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS). Once you’ve passed the course, you’ll need to study the material in preparation for the certification exam.
What happens if I fail the Food Manager exam?
If you don’t pass the exam on your first try, you have one more attempt to pass. If you fail the exam the second time, you must re-purchase the exam.

What Does Texas Require for Getting My Food Manager Certification?
To earn your Texas food manager certification, you must pass a DSHS-approved exam administered by an accredited training provider. Once you pass the exam, county health departments, public health districts, and city health departments are required to accept your certificate.
Please note that in the City of Houston you will need to submit additional paperwork to earn your City of Houston Food Service Manager’s Certification. If you are new to the food industry, you can enroll in a training program that reviews the information you’ll need to understand to pass the exam. After completing the training program, you can then take the DSHS-approved exam to earn your food manager certification.
What can I do if I lose my Food Manager Certification?
If you lose your Food Manager Certification and need a new one, you can contact customer service at support@360training.com.
When does my course expire?
Your course will expire one (1) year after you purchase it (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

What if I need a refund?
If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:
- Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
- You have NOT:
- Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
- Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
- Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.
If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.
