Proper handling and maintenance of hand and power tools is critical to workers’ health and safety.

This course presents the hazards of using power and hand tools, as well as OSHA’s standards for safe use. You’ll learn about proper guarding techniques, personal protective equipment, and other safety requirements when handling hand and power tools.

This course covers more than just the basic guidelines for use. Learn advanced information such as safety considerations for tools that create dangerous respirable silica dust.

This course fulfills 1 hour of general elective credit toward earning or renewing your Site Safety Training (SST) card.

After completing the lessons and passing the 10-question final exam with a score of at least 75%, you receive a certificate of completion. You get three attempts to pass the final – there is a quiz you after each lesson to help you prepare.

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

    • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
    • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
    • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.
