Earlier tapes looked at the protection schemes that employ PLC as the communication medium. This course focuses upon the PLC equipment itself. - Trainees will be able to describe the essential components that comprise the transmitter and receiver of power line carrier communications equipment.
- Trainees will be able to describe various tests and adjustments that may be performed during commissioning of power line carrier equipment and during regular maintenance periods.
- Trainees will be able to describe the transmission of voice communication and other audio signals across power line carrier channels.
- Trainees will be able to describe amplitude modulation and the concept of single sideband operation.
