About this Package

This Nebraska CE Renewal Package has everything you need to meet your continuing education requirements before renewal.

The Nebraska Real Estate Commission (NREC) requires 18 hours of continuing education every 2 years. NREC requires:

  • At least 6 hours in Commission-approved "designated subject matter," which include
    • Nebraska License Law (or parts of it)
    • Nebraska Landlord/Tenant Act
    • Nebraska Trust Account Maintenance (specific to the NREC manual)
    • Agency/Brokerage Relationships
    • Fair Housing and the Americans with Disabilities Act
    • Ethical Decision Making (but not any specific code for a professional organization)
    • Preparing a Certified Market Analysis (CMA) and/or Broker Price Opinion (BPO)
    • Environmental Concerns
    • Contracts
    • Finance
  • 6 hours of electives or approved CE "activities" approved by the Commission
  • 6 additional hours of electives

This package meets and exceeds those limits with 9 hours of designated subject matter and 9 hours of approved electives.

Once you've passed final exam of each course, you'll get a certificate of completion for your records. We'll also report your credits to NREC.

FAQs

What is the deadline for completing my continuing education courses?

You need to finish them by November 30th of your renewal year. If you fail to do so on time, you can only renew your license in inactive status.

Do I owe continuing education if I'm newly licensed?

New licensees start their first 2-year renewal cycle their first January as a licensee.

As of July 1, 2020, new licensees have to complete 12 hours of post-license education within your first 180 days. Your license will automatically go into inactive status if you don't submit proof of post-license completion on time. You'll need to check NREC's website for approved post-license providers.

Can I repeat a Nebraska continuing education course I've taken in the past?

NREC has rules for how often you're allowed repeat a specific course number:

  • Designated subject matter (which you can identify from the "R" in the course number) can be repeated in consecutive renewal periods but not within the same renewal period.
  • Electives courses can only be repeated every other renewal period (ie, about every 4 years).
  • Continuing education "activities" follow the same rules, but instead of using a course number, NREC defines "same" as "substantially similar content."

When do my courses expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
    • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
    • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
    • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.

You can find more information about our refund policy here.
