Learn2Serve launches Alcohol Server Education course to Oregon residents

Austin, TX, July 5, 2018 – Learn2Serve, an arm of 360training.com, has launched their Oregon Alcohol Server Education course, which is approved by the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) and meets the requirements for Oregon alcohol server education.

To receive an “Alcohol Service Permit,” all servers, bartenders, and employees who handle alcohol in restaurants, bars or hotels are required to take a class, pass the state test, and submit their application to the state with an application fee. After 5 years, alcohol servers renew their permits by repeating the course and application.

The Learn2Serve Oregon Alcohol Server Education course is four hours and priced at $15. This first step to getting an Oregon Alcohol Service Permit provides learners with all the necessary knowledge and techniques needed to responsibly serve alcohol.

Oregon alcohol servers will learn about alcohol’s effects, BAC, handling intoxicated people, enhancing public safety, refusing sales, and accurately checking IDs.

The online, self-paced course contains the following lessons:

  • Lesson 1: Introduction
  • Lesson 2: How Alcohol Affects the Body
  • Lesson 3: Recognizing Intoxicated Customers
  • Lesson 4: Minors and Checking ID
  • Lesson 5: How to Refuse a Sale
  • Lesson 6: Oregon’s Basic Retail Liquor Laws

After completing the course, students receive a “proof of class completion” certificate. To get the permit, students must go to the Alcohol Service Application Portal, complete the exam, and pay the $23 fee.

The Learn2Serve Oregon Alcohol Server Education course can be found on the 360training.com Oregon Alcohol Seller/Server Education page.
