About this Course

In a real estate purchase contract, the buyer promises to "purchase and pay" if the seller will "sell and convey" title and possession of the property. The parties have to agree on certain terms to this exchange, and the process by which they come to an agreement is called negotiation.

In this course, we'll examine contracts, considerations, administrative tasks, methods for discharge, and more. You'll explore the basics of quality negotiations, negotiation tactics, comparative advantage, and the elements of principled negotiation.

We'll take a close look at laws affecting real estate negotiations in Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma Real Estate Code and Oklahoma Real Estate Commission (OREC) Rules.
