About this Package

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) requires real estate agents and brokers to complete a total of 18 continuing education hours per 3-year renewal. Those hours must consist of:

  • A 2-hour legal topic in the first year of your renewal cycle (ie, between November 1st and October 31st)
  • A 2-hour legal topic in the second year of your renewal cycle
  • A 2-hour legal topic in the third year of your renewal cycle
  • 12 hours of elective credit completed at any time before your expiration

Our Michigan CE Renewal Packages are designed to meet your legal requirements and spread your electives out over the renewal cycle for a total of 6 hours of CE per year. No fuss, no confusion – just purchase a different package each year in November and complete it before the following Halloween. Wash, rinse, repeat.

For example, this package fulfills your annual 2-hour legal requirement with a refresher on federal and state Fair Housing provisions, with a 4-hour elective on real estate titles and records.

The courses are online and self-paced, for your convenience. They're also mobile-friendly, so you can squeeze them in wherever and whenever you have time.

After you finish each course, we'll provide a certificate of completion. By Michigan regulation, you're personally responsible for keeping these documents on file for 4 years, in case you're audited by LARA.

FAQs

How do I know you're a LARA-approved course provider?

You can find us on Michigan's CE Marketplace under Distance Learning, course codes C017819 through C017840.

What is the deadline for completing my continuing education courses?

Your 2-hour course on a legal topic is due by October 31st of every year.

Your elective credits just need to be completed before your license expiration.

How do I turn in my CE hours?

Michigan no longer requires students or schools to submit proof of completion for continuing education.

Instead, you (the student) are responsible for keeping proof of your CE on file for at least four years. You'll need to produce these documents if you're chosen for a random continuing education audit.

What else do I need to do to renew my license?

You'll get a notification about renewal approximately 90 days before your license expires. Online renewal is now mandatory, including your licensing fee – LARA won't accept anything in person or by mail.

Late or incorrect renewal applications will result in a lapse of your license. You won't be able to practice real estate legally until you've completed renewal.

When do my courses expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
    • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
    • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
    • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.

You can find more information about our refund policy here.
