About this Package

The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) requires all renewing licensees to complete 8 hours of Texas Legal Updates as part of their continuing education. Every 2 years, they release up-to-date curriculum for Texas Legal Update I and II.

The Texas Legal Update I and II supports Texas licensee competence through reviewing recent legislative and TREC rule changes. The courses include relevant topics on practicing real estate in Texas.

After Part I, you will understand:
Legislative Changes and TREC Rule Updates
Promulgated Contract Forms and Addenda
Fair Housing - Diversity and Inclusion in Real Estate
Landlord-Tenant Issues and Property Management

After Part II, you will understand:
Agency - Fiduciary Duties and Ethical Behavior of License Holders
Water and Mineral Rights
Ad Valorem Taxes and Valuation

For each course, you'll get an official certificate of completion that you'll submit to TREC as proof of training. These documents need to be submitted to TREC at least 10 days before your renewal application.

FAQs

How do I know you're a TREC-approved course provider?

360training's approved TREC Provider Number is 238.

How fast can I get through the courses?

You need to spend at least as many hours in each course as the credit it's worth, but you can’t spend more than 12 hours per day in the coursework.

TREC bases their reinforcement of this rule on how many days you spend in each course and whether there is overlap between courses.  In other words, you can't start and complete a 30-hour qualifying course in less than 3 days. You also can't start and complete more than one qualifying course within the same 3 days.

TREC will not accept your certificate of completion for any one course unless 3 days have elapsed since the date/time you started it.

When do my courses expire?

Your courses will expire one (1) year after you purchase them (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.

For more information about course expiration dates, please read our Terms of Use.

What if I need a refund for my training course?

If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:

  • Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
  • You have NOT:
  • Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
  • Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
  • Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.

If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to support@360training.com with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.
