About this Course
This course explores the various systems and relays used to protect power systems and solve problems, beginning with an overview of how zones of protection prevent complete system collapse during severe disturbances. Students will learn the principle of operation and underlying philosophy for various types of relays
Then the discussion goes deeper into specific types of relays such as directional overcurrent relay, distance relays, differential relays, back-up relays, permissive transfer trips, and system load shedding.
