What is Introduction to HAZWOPER Basics Training?
This course provides a basic introduction to HAZWOPER (Hazardous Wastes Operation and Emergency Response) standards. You'll get the 10,000-foot view of HAZWOPER's purpose and the various elements of the program.
We'll touch on site characterization, training programs, medical surveillance, written safety and health programs, and emergency response plans. We'll also provide a brief look at the precautions taken by HAZWOPER personnel to protect themselves from hazardous waste, like personal protective equipment, decontamination, temporary workplace sanitation, and handling drums and containers.
Who should take Introduction to HAZWOPER Basics?
If you need a general overview of HAZWOPER rules, this is the right course for you. Examples include new employees or administrators working adjacent to (but not directly involved in) hazardous waste cleanup, treatment, or storage.
This is NOT the correct course for you if you are:
Subject to initial 40-hour or 24-hour training requirements
Seeking refresher training for the same
An emergency responder, uncontrolled hazardous waste site operator, or TSDF worker
Facing other hazardous work conditions such as IDLH environments, fire or explosion hazards, oxygen-deficient atmospheres, or high concentrations of hazardous substances
A supervisor of any of the above
If any of that applies to you, this course does NOT meet (or count towards) your HAZWOPER requirements.

Your course will expire one (1) year after you purchase it (the date you submit payment), unless the course itself indicates otherwise.
How Quickly Will I Get My Certificate of Completion?
Once you finish your course and pass any required exams, you can print your certificate of completion right away.
What Can I Do If I Lose My Certificate?
If you lose your certificate of completion and need a new one, you can contact customer service at (877) 881-2235 or email@example.com.
What If I Need a Refund for My Training Course?
If for some reason you are not happy and would like a refund, send us a request within 72 hours of purchase. Here are the eligibility requirements you must meet:
- Your purchase was made no more than 72 hours prior to your refund request.
- You have NOT
- Attempted any portion of a test or exam.
- Requested or been issued a certificate of completion.
- Completed 50% or more of the purchased course.
If you meet all of these criteria, submit your refund request in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a proof-of-purchase receipt and an explanation for why you are requesting a refund.
