About This Course
The state of Washington has special educational requirements that must be completed before your first renewal as a broker. This course fulfills the post-license requirement for 30 hours of Washington Real Estate Law.
We'll give you an introduction to the roles and duties of Washington real estate brokers. You'll learn about Washington license law, agency representation, and required disclosures.
We'll cover the conditions required for a valid contract, the circumstances that constitute breach of contract, and the use of contracts in real estate, torts, fraud, and negligence.
You'll explore how the law affects daily real estate practice in areas like advertising, agency agreements, sales contracts, property disclosures, escrow funds, closing procedures, and many more. We'll help you consider the legal aspects of acting as an independent contractor, as well as property management.
We'll also look at current topics in the real estate industry, including foreclosures, short sales, carbon monoxide laws, labor and industry requirements, and online advertising.
